Emerson ROC 809 – Web Enabled HMI Supervisory and S.C.A.D.A.
NORTHCHURCH, England, May 17 2007. Ambrit Ltd. today announced that they have introduced Emerson’s ROC809 into its family of native flow computers and RTUs for use with Acquire™ and Profile™. Now ROC 809 can benefit from HMI supervisory and solutions SCADA solutions out of the box.
The ROC family of Remote Operations Controllers from Emerson has established an industry benchmark for flexibility, robustness, ease of use and reliability. The ROC809 is the first in a family of ROC800 series products designed to provide, – in one device – the ruggedness and low power consumption of an RTU, the audit trails and historical data of a flow computer, and the scalability, speed and control of a PLC.
ROC 809 joins the growing list of flow computers from Emerson including FloBoss S600 and FloBoss 103 that can now take advantage of Acquire™ and Profile™ technology. Ambrit have implemented the Emerson ROC communications protocol to ensure full compatibility with the ROC 809.
The use of Acquire™ and Profile™ with the Emerson products enables integrators and end users to create system solutions without custom software. These systems can communicate securely and in real-time over local intranet and private Internet networks allowing interaction and support regardless of location.
Acquire™ and Profile™ systems using the ROC 809 are capable of interacting with Ambrit’s Metrology™ suite bringing the full complement of features to streamline the measurement, control and management of flow measurement systems. Metrology™ is marketed by METCO Services, a division Emerson Process Management.
