Profile™ is continually monitoring the RTUs for new alarms.

When a new alarm occurs an alert will be presented informing the operator of the alarm. Alarm alerts from any site on the system will be displayed regardless of the currently selected site.

• Click the 'Accept' button to accept the alarm.
• Click the 'Details' button to see all the alarms on the system.
• Click the 'Close' button to close the alarm notification window without accepting the alarm; subsequent alarms will not be shown.

There are two different views for the alarms.

• Global alarms list that shows all alarms for all sites on the system.
• Site alarms list that only shows the alarms for the selected site.

To view the global alarms list either:

• Click the button in the Model Bar.

or

• Go to the Worldwide menu.
• Click the Profile™ menu in the Module Bar and then choose 'Alarms'.

To view the site alarms list:

• Select the site in the Inventory Menu.
• Click the Profile™ menu in the Module Bar and then choose 'Alarms'.

This will display list of active alarms. This screen will automatically update when new alarms occur.

The coloured icon to the left of each alarm indicates the group to which it belongs as follows:

• Process
• System
• Computer
• Profile

New alarms will be inserted at the top of the list and will flash to indicate that they haven’t been accepted.

Accepting Alarms

To accept an alarm either:

• Click the 'Accept' button on the right hand side of the alarm.
or
• Click on the 'Accept All' at the right-hand end of the Database Bar to accept all alarms on the whole system.

Searching Alarms

To filter the alarm list:

• Enter the keyword into the 'Search' field.
• Click the 'Go' button.

To remove the filter, click the 'X' button.
