User Access SettingsEach user can have individual access privileges allocated on a site-by-site basis and for each Metrology™ application running. There are two ways of setting up the access settings either by site or by application. As well as sites, there is also a global setting. This controls access to the setup of the worldwide areas. With the 'Configure by System' radio button selected, a list of sites will be shown down the left hand side. If 'Common System Access' is ticked (see below) then only 'All Inventory' will be listed. Selecting a site will display the Metrology™ applications on the right hand side. Access levels can then be set for each application at the site. With the 'Configure by Group' radio button, a list of installed Metrology™ applications will be shown down the left hand side. Selecting an application will display the list of sites on the right hand side. Access levels can then be set for each site for that application. This allows very flexible access privileges to be defined. It is possible to configure the server to allow a technician full access to site A and B, to have limited access at site C but completely restrict access to site D. This would be set up as follows:
