Tags can only be editted if you enough access privileges to do so and if the tag has not been locked.

Adding a Tag
To add a new tag, first find the tag's process element in then Inventory menu and highlight it.

Click the 'Add' button at the bottom of the Inventory menu. A process element can have an unlimited number of tags - although this might be limited by your licence.

The available equipment types will depend on the type of the process element selected eg pressure transmitters are only available on a pressure process element.

Selecting the type of equipment will automatically enter the tag's prefix. These prefixes are based on industry standard naming conventions but can be overwritten.

To create the tag click the 'Save' button. This will automatically insert it into the Inventory menu.

Once a tag has been created the equipment that is installed at the tag must be created.
