| Process Elements A PROCESS ELEMENT defines a specific part of the process, several of which could be encompassed within a LOCATION. The PROCESS ELEMENT could be a measurement process such as Temperature, Pressure or Flow or it could be a control process such as a control valve or block valve. NOTE: A user can only add/edit/remove a process element if they have enough access privileges to do so and if the process element has not been locked. Process Elements can only be editted if you enough access privileges to do so and if the process element has not been locked. Adding a Process Element Select the location in the Inventory Menu where the process element needs to be added. Click the 'Add' button at the bottom of the Inventory Menu. The name of the process element can be anything although the convention is to name it after the process element type eg 'Temperature'. To create the process element click the 'Save' button. This will automatically insert it into the Inventory menu. Once a process element has been created its tags and equipment must also be created. Editing Process Elements Select the process element from the Inventory Menu and click 'Edit'. This will bring up the above process element screen as shown above. However if the equipment has been locked nothing will be changeable. Once set the process type will not be enterable. |
