Calibrating Test Equipment

Calibration procedures can be set up for test equipment in exactly the same way as for other equipment in the Inventory Menu.

To display a list of test equipment calibrations:

  • Select the item of test equipment in the Inventory Menu.
  • Click the Calibrate menu in the Module Bar and then choose Available Calibrations, Calibration Schedule, or Calibration History.

Clicking any element in the Test Equipment section of the Inventory Menu shows all the calibrations for the selected item and all items below it in the hierarchy.

Displaying a Calibration Certificate
To display a Calibration Certificate for test equipment:

  • Click the calibration in the Calibration History list, or a skipped, passed, or failed calibration on the Calibration Schedule screen.

The Calibration Results screen shows the Calibration Certificate for the test equipment:

As for standard equipment Calibration Certificates, you can print a copy or display a Chart of historical calibrations, by clicking the appropriate button at the right-hand end of the Database Bar.

Performing a Calibration
To perform a calibration on an item of test equipment:

  • Click the calibration in the Available Calibrations list, or a overdue, next scheduled, or future scheduled calibration in the Calibration Schedule screen.

The Calibrate screen shows the parameters for the selected calibration:

This allows you to attach a copy of the Calibration Certificate for the test equipment calibration, specify the certificate number, and specify the parameters for the calibration.

Calibration Certificate

  • Click the 'Choose File' button and select the file containing a copy of the calibration certificate to be attached to the calibration.
  • Enter the Certificate number in the 'Certificate No.' field.

Calibration Parameters
Some items of test equipment, such as the Hydraulic dead weight tester, have calibration parameters recording the performance of the equipment during the calibration.

  • Enter the appropriate parameters in the appropriate fields.
  • Click the 'Save' button to save the calibration.
