Opening the Acquire™ Browser Window



To access Acquire™, enter the URL given to you by the administrator of your system. The Acquire™ server will ask you to log on, using the log on dialogue box below. Enter the user name and password assigned to you by your Acquire™ server administrator, and click OK.

Tip: For security reasons do not tick the save this password in your password list check box.

Your browser will start to download the Acquire™ screens and store them in your computer's cache memory. As it does so the following screen is displayed:

If you have difficulties loading Acquire, go to your Internet menu and choose tools and clear your cache.

As Acquire™ loads, the thermometer will fill and you will see the number of images being loaded in the bottom left of the browser window.

Once Acquire™ has loaded; the P&ID screen will be opened in a new window.

Acquire needs to open its own window to run. If this window is closed accidentally or is sent behind, it is generally possible to either locate it in the Windows start bar or to click the link on the original screen.

Tip: If you have difficulties loading Acquire™ please reset your browser to use default settings. To do this open Internet Explorer and select 'Internet Options' from the 'Tools' menu. In 'Settings' select 'Check for newer versions of pages' to be 'Automatic' and set the amount of disk space to use for 'Temporary Internet Files' to be at least 100Mb.
