Users

The following screen allows a users security levels to be set up. Double click on a user in the User List screen or add a new user to bring up this screen.

Complete the entries in the fields on the left of the screen. Red fields are mandatory.

Each user can be set up with their own default language. This is the language that will be displayed when they log on to the web site. By default Acquire™ supports English only. To add extra languages click here.

Each user must be given a specific authority level selected from several pre-determined default levels, or a custom level can be created specific to that user. The default levels are:

  • Administrator
  • Engineer
  • Operator
  • Supervisor

The left hand screen indicates those items that can be changed at that user level. If any change is made to a default level it automatically defaults to 'Custom'.

If Custom is selected, move to the right hand side of the screen and highlight those elements that this user will be able to access or control, by double clicking in the required boxes. A grey arrow to the left indicates that further sub-choices are available by clicking on the arrow. A red dash indicates that some, not all, of the sub-choices are already selected. An arrow in the box indicates that all of the sub-choices are selected.

The choices available are as follows:

  • Access Levels (security level of field access that the user can change)
  • Accept Alarms
  • Control Valves
  • Initiate Proves

Having selected the choices required click 'Save' and close the 'Users' window.
