Server Administration Password

The server administration password is required to maintain the server. It is recommended that the server administration level password should be of a non-obvious nature and should be changed frequently in accordance with good IT security practice.

To change the Administration password the user must already be in administration mode. Select 'Change Admin Password' from the 'Admin' menu. At the prompt screen, enter the new configuration password.

If the user is in configuration mode, they can set the server administration password by choosing the Change Configure Password with the alt key pressed. Alternatively, exit the configuration mode (a configuration password will be required to do this).

WARNING: By default Acquire™ does not have an administrator password setup and will default to configuration mode. Once setup is completed, it is advised that an administration password is allocated.

Configuration Password

The Configuration level password is the highest level of access and its release and integrity should be carefully controlled. It is recommended that the Configuration level password should be of a non-obvious nature and should be changed frequently in accordance with good IT security practice.

To change the Configuration password the user must already be in configuration mode. Select 'Change Configure Password' from the 'Acquire' menu. At the prompt screen, enter the new configuration password.
