Setting Up a Tank

Tanks can be added onto the P&ID and can be setup to show the current level and can show different colours for different products.

To add a tank:

Go to the P&ID screen by selecting 'P&ID' from the 'Acquire' menu.
Ensure you can see the device pallet by selecting 'Pallet' from the 'P&ID' menu.
Select 'Tanks' from the popup menu.

Drag the tank that you want onto the P&ID. Note: The tanks is made up of 4 x 4 cells. The position of the tank depends on where you have dragged from.

When the tank is dropped onto the P&ID the Device Properties window will be displayed:

Specify the field as follows:

Field	Description
Tag Name	This is the tag name of the tank. The tag name is displayed at the top of the sidebar or can be displayed on the P&ID.
Stream	This does not apply to a tank.
Type	This is the type of tank to be displayed. Select a different subtype to change the graphical representation of the tank.
Tank Pipe Location	You can use the pipe location popup menu in order to connect it to other pipes on the P&ID. Options include "none", "left pipe", "right pipe" and "both pipes". These options will extend a pipe out from the bottom of the tank on the left, right or both sides.
