Events
Adding Events
Acquire™ allows you to add 4 kinds of action events used to record data. These actions can be triggered by monitoring fields for 11 different kinds of event types or conditions.
To view the list of events:
- Choose 'events…' from the 'Config' menu.
This will display a list of all the events that have been defined so far.

To edit an existing event:
- Highlight an event.
- Click the 'Edit' button.
To delete and existing event:
- Highlight an event.
- Click the 'Delete' button.
To add a new event:
This will display the entry screen for events:

Specify the fields as follows:

Description |
| Enter a custom name for the event |
| Choose what event type will trigger the event (See 'Event Types') |
| Select which field is monitored for the action event |
| Select the time interval (in seconds) in which the monitored field is checked for the action event |
| Specify the number of decimal places |
| Select the action that occurs when the trigger event occurs (See 'Action Types') |
Event Types
The event types are specified as follows:

Description |
| Value of the monitored field has changed |
| Valve status is "opened" |
| Valve status is "closed" |
| Prove status is "proving" |
| Prove status is "completed" |
| Prove status is "aborted" |
| Batch status is "completed" |
| The Acquire application is started |
| The Acquire application is shutdown |
| Monitored alarm is raised |
| Monitored alarm is cleared |

Record events in logbook
Download Report
Copy Field
Export fields to CSV
Record events in logbook
- When the event is triggered, this action will cause specified fields recorded in the logbook.

Specify the 'Record Event in Logbook' action as follows:

Description |
| Events description displayed in logbook |
| The log book entry tagged to the inventory location, e.g, station or stream 1. |
| The added fields to be snapshot into the log book when the event is triggered. |
Download Report
- When a specified event occurs, this action will cause a report to download.

Specify the 'Download Report' action as follows:

| Select which flowcomputer the report is downloaded from |
| Select the time interval of the report |
Copy Field
- When a specified event occurs, this action will cause the monitored field to be copied to a specified one.

Specify the 'Copy Field' action as follows:

Description |
| The monitored field is copied to the field specified here |
| Prevents field changes from being recorded in the audit trail |
Export fields to CSV
- When a specified event occurs, this action will cause specified fields to be exported to a CSV file on your computer.

When the action type "Export fields to CSV" is selected, the field properties screen appear on the right.
To add fields:
- Drag and drop the selected fields into the Flowcomputer/Field Name area.
Exporting a field list:
- A list of fields may be exported in CSV format by creating the list as described and clicking 'Export'.
Importing a field list:
- CSV files created in this way may be imported by clicking 'Import' and locating the CSV file.
Deleting fields:
- Highlight the field and click 'Delete'.
