Duty/Standby Setup

Setting up Duty/Standby Flowcomputers

If the option for Duty/Standby is enabled, it can be selected while adding a station.

Duty/Standby is only available for stations with two flowcomputers (One duty and one standby.)

Standby Flowcomputer

To setup the duty/standby flowcomputers:

Setup the Duty Flowcomputer.
Click the 'Next' Button.
Setup the Standby Flowcomputer.

Acquire will now link the two machines together.

Note: The configurations in the S600 must be identical for this to work (as Acquire only maintains one Modbus map. Also the SYS PEER STAT INPUT field must be present in Acquire's Modbus map so Acquire is able to work out which machine is the current duty and standby machines.

The setup of the P&ID and all the screens is done once for the main machine and it is automatically made available to the standby machine.

Note: Alarms, reports and the audit trail are all duplicated for each machine.

When linked with the Modbus Server, Acquire will use the duty machine's fields when reading values. When writing values both the duty and the standby machine will be updated.
