MenusTo customise the data screen menus select 'Screens Setup...' from the 'File' menu.
The first column displays a list of streams. Clicking on a streams will display the list of associated menus in the second column. Clicking on a menu will display the list of screens that are associated with the selected menu. Adding a MenuTo add a new menu:
Up to 7 menus can be added to a stream. The menu is only added to the selected stream. Menus must contain at least one screen so a blank screen will automatically be created and added to the menu. Editing a MenuTo edit the name of a menu:
Deleting a MenuTo delete a menu:
WARNING: This will delete all screens associated with that menu. Adding ScreensTo add a new screen:
Up to 10 screens can be added per menu. Editing a ScreenTo edit one of the screens:
The screen type can also be changed. WARNING: Changing the screen type may result in lost data if the new screen has less fields. Deleting a ScreenTo delete a screen:
N.B. Menus must contain at least one screen so if the last screen on a menu is deleted a blank screen will be created automatically. Rearranging Menus and ScreensMenus and screens can be rearranged by dragging and dropping them to a new position in the list. Screens can be dragged from one menu to another. Menus can be dragged from one stream to another. Dragging a screen to another menu will move it to the new location. Dragging a menu to another stream will move the menu and all screens associated with it. Hold down the Alt key while dragging to copy objects instead of moving. Tip: Streams, Menus and Screens can also be copied using the edit menu. This will copy the screens to the clipboard in XML format. The copied screens can be pasted into other locations within the database or even other Acquire databases!
When all the menus and screens have been set up, click the 'Apply' button to finish. |
