Major new version for Profile released

NORTHCHURCH, England, March 27th 2010. Ambrit Ltd announced a major upgrade to its Profile software with the release of Profile v3.0.

Profile 3.0 represents a major redesign of the entire Profile software including the user interface, the communications engine and the database. Profile 3.0 provides lots of new features and is also much faster, more efficient and easier to use.

Profile's interface has been completely redesigned to make each RTU quicker to locate and easier to navigate to. The presentation of the data has also been simplified making it much easier to see what is going on. The interface has been optimized for the latest web browsers including Internet Explorer 8.0.

The communications engine is now much faster and more efficient, handling up to 10,000 different RTUs on diverse network topologies.

The database is also much faster and can now store years worth of historical data, with new charting to better present this information. The historical data can also now been seen in raw format and exported directly in to an Excel spreadsheet.

How Profile is setup has also been vastly improved, making it possible to setup and maintain new RTUs using the web browser. Simply create the RTU along with its communications details and just a few seconds later Profile will be talking to that device.

The improved user database allows system administrators to use their web browser to add new users and their roles. New hierarchical access levels have been introduced, allowing users to be restricted to all RTUs, an individual RTU or even an individual aspect of an RTU (e.g data screens or reports).

Speaking at the launch of Profile, Ambrit’s Managing Director, Andrew Webb stated "Profile 3.0 represents the most powerful yet intuitive data gathering and reporting platform that I have seen." Profile 3.0 is available as a download today. Existing customers with an upgrade plan can upgrade to Profile 3.0 free of charge.
