Acquire™ 2.4 Windows Vista Support
Acquire™ HMI now certified to run on Microsoft Windows Vista
NORTHCHURCH, England, January 2007. Ambrit Ltd announces the release of Acquire™ v2.4.6 to coincide with the launch of Microsoft Windows Vista. This update provides full compatibility with next generation Windows operating system.
Speaking just after the launch of Vista, Andrew Webb, Ambrit CEO, commented "This shows our commitment to maintaining our applications on the latest computing platforms as soon as they are available," he also added that "of course, existing users of Acquire™ can upgrade to the latest version of Acquire™ and take full advantage of the latest hardware and software platforms whilst maintaining their existing investment in HMI technology."
Ambrit recommends that Acquire™ server be deployed on Windows Vista Business, XP Pro or Windows 2003 server.
Licensed users of Acquire™ v2.4 can upgrade to Acquire™ v2.4.6 at no extra cost. Customers with an extended support plan can upgrade previous versions free of charge to take advantage of this new feature, although extra RTU licenses may be required.
