Acquire™ Links to Omni Flowcomputer

Leading flowcomputers added to Acquire™ roster

NORTHCHURCH, England, January 17 2003. Maintaining our plan to accommodate the worlds leading flow computers within Acquire™ Ambrit announces Acquire's™ latest addition, the Omni 3000, 6000, and the new Omni SmartBus™ range of flow computers.

Following connection to an Acquire™ server using either, serial or TCP/IP communications protocols and a few simple set-up questions, Acquire™ will determine the type of flow computer(s) that it are available and configure itself automatically. In minutes, Acquire™ creates its own graphical displays, P&ID, reports, communications links etc, to provide a fully functioning supervisory server that is instantly accessible over the Internet or local secure Intranet network. Employing SSL 128 bit encryption, digest authentication and multilevel passwords, the Acquire™ server is highly secure enabling authorised users to access flow measurement data.

Today an operator from any location, local or worldwide, can have secure, real time access to Omni flow measurement technology regardless of location. Data can be conveyed in both directions - in addition to viewing flow measurement data, constants can be downloaded into remote Omni flow computers, valves controlled, remote support invoked etc. - all this with only a web browser.

Ambrit developed Acquire™ for applications across a wide variety of industries. It emanated from Ambrit's database and Internet skill obtained over the past 15 years. This experience is embodied in our Webspring™ technology. Webspring™ enables Ambrit to achieve reduced concept to market times, unsurpassed performance and a superior user interface. This metrology application for the Oil and Gas industry is just one example of the broad capability of Webspring™.
